Rockstar New Year’s Resolutions (2014)
2014 has almost come to an end. Yes, people, time flies. I would describe this year as intense, like a swing of good and bad feelings. Many things have happened: the launch of my website and of this blog; new contacts with old and new clients; I have met a lot of colleagues, whom I admire and have become good friends and important supporters through tough times. The end of the year brought me a lot of surprises. I’ve landed an awesome localisation job: that kind of project I have been looking for for a very long time.
Last year, I had a good feeling about the upcoming one. Now I don’t know what 2015 has in store for me, but I know what my resolutions and my dreams are:
♦ Reading more books – both translation-related both “normal” books;
♦ Do a good job with the project I mentioned above;
♦ Finding new clients in subtitling and game localisation;
♦ Take more steps towards full-time freelancing;
♦ Attend a translation conference or event;
♦ Improve my German speaking skills;
♦ Go abroad;
♦ Meet at least one of the amazing people I’ve met on-line in 2014 in real life;
♦ Write more posts on this blog;
♦ Be happier and worry less about the little things.
Not really an impossible mission, huh? And you, do you have a list of projects and resolutions for the upcoming year?
I wish you all a productive, satisfying and happy 2015!
